On April 15, 2013 we will launch the new forum hosted by Jacob's Rite of Passage entitled, "The Village Speaks." In keeping with the theme of Get RITE; conveying the message of "the village," It STILL takes a village to raise a child. It's time to reclaim the village, we have decided to give "the village" a voice. 

We will solicit input and perspectives from people from all walks of life to speak about how we can reclaim and restore the village and recapture the priorities of GOD . FAMILY . COMMUNITY. 

We will post submissions and open discussions so that all can participate. All posts will be monitored for appropriate content. Please be aware that we understand that the village has undergone much calamity, upheaval and distress, the forum is not solely about the problem, but actively about the solution. 

If you want to be one of our contributors, please submit a written piece, 500 words or less, with your contribution as a voice in our village. The distribution of your written piece, if selected, will be included as an eblast feature as well as an article under "The Village Speaks" community board we are implementing on the website. You will be notified when your piece will be distributed. Please also submit your email address (so we may contact you) and a photo to accompany your submission.
